Dr. Molly A. Christie and Dr. Joseph J. Fantuzzo are committed to providing high-quality care for children and adults. The doctors practice the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to placement of dental implants, exposure of impacted canines, and wisdom tooth removal. They diagnose and treat complex traumatic facial injuries, manage oral & facial pathology, and perform a full range of dental implant-related and reconstructive bone and soft tissue grafting procedures.
All clinical staff are certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). The surgical assistants are certified & trained in supporting the doctors in providing IV anesthesia within our state-of-the-art office setting.
Dr. Molly A. Christie and Dr. Joseph J. Fantuzzo are dedicated to incorporating innovative surgical techniques to ensure the best outcomes for their patients in both in-office and hospital environments. The doctors serve the needs of the local and regional community through patient care and education of residents at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Strong Memorial Hospital & Golisano Children’s Hospital, and the Rochester General Hospital, and through participation in various local, state and national organizations.
Dr. Christie is Clinical Instructor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital, where she is actively involved in training resident surgeons.
Dr. Fantuzzo is Clinical Associate Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital. He is past President of the New York State Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (NYSSOMS). Before entering private practice in 2015, Dr. Fantuzzo served as Chair & Residency Program Director of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
